In his March 5 post, Trump praised Mullin as a "highly respected" Oklahoma senator, a "MAGA Warrior" and former professional mixed martial artist. The president said Mullin's decade in the House and three years in the Senate make him fit to focus on border security, stopping migrant crime and combating illegal drugs.
Mullin was born in Tulsa on July 26, 1977, and grew up in Westville. He left Missouri Valley College to help his family business, Mullin Plumbing, which became a major regional company. He later earned an Applied Science degree from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in 2010 and received an honorary doctorate from Bacone College in 2018.
