During an appearance on The Tonight Show, the 22-year-old explained that he leapt onto the back of his crocodile—now what he called a “boss croc,” roughly 14 feet long—while trying a handling method used by his late father. He said the animal performed a violent roll, known as a "death roll," pinning him beneath with an arm exposed before it turned and he was able to get free.
