Althorp whispers and a private moment

Althorp House — Diana’s ancestral estate where she is buried on an island in The Round Oval — is closed July 10–11, prompting talk the family could go there. Harry has stayed at Althorp before. In his memoir he described taking Meghan to Diana’s gravesite, where Meghan quietly prayed for “clarity” and “guidance.” The gravesite remains private.

Accommodation, security and family ties

King Charles reportedly offered royal accommodation; no response has been confirmed. Security arrangements would be decided by the Home Office. Since the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties in 2020 they lost taxpayer-funded protection, a decision Harry has legally challenged as he raises safety concerns. Any reunion with the King remains unconfirmed; the pair last met privately in September 2025.
