What is the $10 million for?

Merkley’s letter says the additional funds would reimburse expenses tied to Freedom 250 events, including the Rededicate 250 prayer event, the Great American State Fair and the July 4 Salute to America on the National Mall. The request would also cover operational costs such as U.S. Park Police, event planning, National Park Service overtime and repairs to federal resources.
